FAQ

Questions, answered

Which countries and currencies are supported?
MonthLedger is built for money in any country. Each country gets its own book, categories and budgets in its local currency, and you choose which currency the combined totals use.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
From the European Central Bank’s daily reference rates. The app downloads them once a day and keeps them, so it also works offline. Each transaction converts at the rate of its own date.
Is my financial data uploaded anywhere?
No. Transactions, budgets and categories stay in the app on your iPhone. The only download is the day’s exchange rates, which contains no personal information.
How are transfers between countries handled?
Record money you send between your own countries as a transfer. It shows in both books but isn’t counted as income or spending, because it’s still your money.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Export any month or date range as a CSV for Excel, or a full backup file you can restore on a new phone.
Is there an Android or web version?
MonthLedger is in testing on iPhone. Android and a web app are planned. Request early access and tell us which phone you use.
